Chat commands

A reference of the @ commands you can type in chat to work the HUD, grouped by what they're for.

For everyone

You can do many things on the HUD by typing a command in chat instead. This page lists the commands players can use, grouped by what they’re for.

How to type a command

  1. Type it on your command channel. The number is in the message the HUD posts when you log in. You can change it under Settings, Set Channels.
  2. Start the command with @. If your command channel is 6, you type /6 @help.
  3. Leave a couple of seconds between commands. The HUD ignores a command that comes too soon after the last one.

Words in angle brackets are what you fill in: @roll <dice> means you type something like @roll 1d20.

Most replies only you can see. When a command speaks in local chat, everyone nearby sees it.

Some commands depend on rules your sim may not use. If your sim doesn’t use one, chat tells you so. If you mistype a command, chat says “Command not found.”
